The GoBonnies.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 4 is men's basketball junior Darryl Simmons II.

Simmons played the full 40 minutes and excelled in the Atlantic 10 opener at VCU on Dec. 31. He posted 22 points for the Bonnies and went 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Simmons also handed out a season-best seven assists.

For the year, Simmons averages over 15 points per contest while starting every game. He also is connecting on over 40 percent of his 3-point attempts on the season.
