The GoBonnies.com Male Athlete of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending Jan. 23 is men’s tennis sophomore Stijn Paardekooper.

Paardekooper was a perfect 2-0 in singles and added a doubles win, pacing the Bonnies in their first two meets of the 2022 spring season at Loyola (MD) and Navy last weekend.
 
The Voorburg, Netherlands native started strong with a straight set, 6-2, 6-4, victory over Skyler Gates of the Greyhounds. He also teamed up with Marco Rivolo for a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles.
 
Paardekooper followed that with a three-set victory over Jake Fishkin of Navy at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 5-7, 10-4.
