ONEONTA, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team opened its 2003 season with a 3-0 loss at Oneonta State this afternoon.

Oneonta's Jme Amaoko scored all three goals for Red Dragons, two of which came in the final minutes of the game.

Both teams exchanged scoring opportunities early before Amaoke netted his first goal in the 33rd minute.

Amaoke struck twice in the final ten minutes of play, the first came in the 82nd minute over the head of St. Bonaventure goalkeeper Sean Eyde. Three minutes later, Amaoke scored on a breakaway, putting the ball inside the near post.

Eyde made seven saves in the loss.

Offensively, Geron DuPorte tallied three of the Bonnies' 14 shots on the day.

The Bonnies, who are 0-1, will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 6 as they host the St. Bonaventure Adidas Classic beginning at noon.
