ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer head coach Mick Giordano has announced the addition of five student-athletes to the roster for the 2026 spring season.
Jackson Minneci, Josh Seyer, Jack Steel, Ryan Holt and Harvey Skurek have all joined the Bonnies for the spring 2026 semester.
"The staff is extremely excited to welcome these five student-athletes to our program this Spring," Giordano said. "Each one showed in the recruitment process the desire and hunger to come help move our program forward while also presenting the character of tremendous young men. This mentality will make a significant impact on and off the field right away. We cannot wait to get them mixed into our returning group."
Jackson Minneci joins the Bonnies from Wilmington, N.C. and spent the past three seasons at UNC Asheville, beginning his collegiate career under Coach Giordano. Prior to UNC Asheville, Minneci was a two-time ECNL First Team All-Conference selection with the Wilmington Hammerheads. During the 2022 high school season, he tallied 13 goals and 20 assists. He served as the team captain for both his club and high school squads. Minneci has also spent time with Port City FC where he was captain and was also named Gull of the Year in 2025.
COACH GIORDANO ON JACKSON MINNECI: "Jackson is another player I was fortunate to recruit and work with at Asheville. He will bring a tremendous drive and dedication to our program. Jackson helped build Asheville into one of the best programs in the Big South. He also comes from the same youth club and area as me. As a youth player coming out of eastern North Carolina, you must be driven and blue-collar to make it. Jackson is just that plus has a chip on his shoulder, which we know will help push forward."
Joining the Brown and White is Josh Seyer from St. Louis, Mo. and Williams Wood University. Seyer was a three-year starter for William Woods, making 54 starts on defense while tallying a goal and an assist. He was named the 2023 American Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year and was named to the AMC All-Conference Second Team as well as the All-Academic Team in 2024. Seyer was a standout player for Oakville winning a pair of state championships to go along with First Team All-Region, All-District, All-Conference and All-State accolades. He has also spent time with St. Louis Scott Gallagher 2004 where he helped the team to a national final.
COACH GIORDANO ON JOSH SEYER: "We are extremely excited to welcome Josh to the program. He is a powerful center back with an elite mentality. Josh has shown he could do it by playing for a top NAIA program at William Woods in one of the most difficult conferences. His mentality to defend first and ability to communicate will be felt right away. As a former captain, Josh's leadership and winning mentality will play a huge influence on everyone around him in the Brown and White."
Jack Steel joins the Bonnies from London, United Kingdom and spent the last three seasons at UNC Asheville, also beginning his playing career under Coach Giordano. Steel was named to the Big South Returners to Watch list ahead of the 2025 season. He was named to the Big South All-Freshman Team in 2023 after tallying a pair of goals in seven matches. Steel has also spent time with Aldershot Town FC as well as Port City FC, earning Newcomer of the Year accolades while starting in nine contests with three goals and an assist.
COACH GIORDANO ON JACK STEEL: "I had the privilege of working with Jack at Asheville as he was one of our captains. Along with being an amazing character, Jack is one of the fittest players I've ever worked with. He is relentless with his work rate and mentality. He has helped transform Asheville into a perineal contender in the Big South and captained a program that has won 24 games in the last three seasons. The leadership and energy he will bring our program will make an immediate impact."
Ryan Holt comes to St. Bonaventure from London, United Kingdom and spent last season at Division II Adelphi. Holt was the squad's leading scorer in 2025 with 12 points on six goals, earning NE10 All-Conference Second Team and All-Rookie Team honors. Prior to Adelphi, Holt was a standout player at the Harrodian School, earning Men's Senior and Junior Footballer of the Year accolades. Holt has also spent time with Cobham FC.
COACH GIORDANO ON RYAN HOLT: "Ryan is a powerful attacking player with the skillset to create chances from nothing. His technical prowess allows him to play anywhere in the front four being a constant threat in the attack. His fluidity in the attack will allow us to be more dynamic in-possession. He is coming from a historic division II program in the Northeast region and knows what it means to win games at a high level. We are excited to have him join us."
Joining the Bonnies is Harvey Skurek from Cheltenham, England. Skurek spent last season at Saint Francis (PA), scoring a goal and helping the Red Flash to the Northeast Conference championship game. Skurek began his collegiate career at Saint Peter's, appearing in 24 games and making 20 starts across two seasons with the Peacocks.
COACH GIORDANO ON HARVEY SKUREK: "We had the privilege to see how much Harvey can impact on a game as a left sided defender and midfielder. He has been mentored by one of the best staffs in the NEC and helped lead Saint Francis to the NEC title game this fall with his mentality and ability to play multiple positions. Having played close to 3,000 minutes at the D1 level, he will positively impact us right from the start in every facet of a college soccer program."
