@BonniesMSoccer Aim To Continue Their Undefeated Season This Weekend

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team will continue their road trip this weekend, when they take on University of Delaware Blue Hens on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Highlanders on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m.

The Bonnies, No. 1 ranked team in total goals with 13, enter these games riding a four game win streak after defeating both the Incarnate Word Cardinals and the Howard Bisons last weekend, 2-1 and 5-1 respectively, at the Duquesne Invitational.

Junior, Garrett Pasono scored the first goal of the game in the sixth minute to give the Bonnies an early lead. After the Cardinals tied it up in the thirty-first minute, senior Emmett O'Connor put the Brown and White up for good with his goal from thirty yards out in the forty-eighth minute.

In the tenth minute against the Bisons, O'Connor broke the St. Bonaventure assist record, previously held by Wally Senk, by setting up fellow senior Nicholas Perillo for one of his two goals. Seniors, Brad Vanino and Brad Beaumont both helped by cause by netting goals, two and one, respectively.

The Blue Hens of Delaware (3-1) are coming off a double overtime loss to the Seton Hall Pirates. The Blue Hens led 3-0 in the first half before the Pirates came storming back to win the game. Delaware is led by freshman Guillermo Delgado who has scored six goals this season and is tied for third in goals per game amongst Division I players.

The NJIT Highlanders (1-3-1) are coming off a 1-0 loss to #22 Fairleigh Dickinson. The Highlanders are off to a slow start after posting a 10-9 record in 2012. Only four players have scored thus far for the Highlanders and they have given up six in total.

The Bonnies bring it back home next weekend when they face the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks on Friday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. and the Rider Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 22 at noon.
