The Short Story:
The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team suffered another late loss on Wednesday as the Hartwick Hawks received a penalty kick after a controversial handball call in the box in the 89th minute. The Hawks went on to win, 2-1.

In the first half, the Bonnies found themselves on the board first with a late strike coming with only one second left on the clock. After the ball was headed out in front of the net, Eddie Keen gained control at the top of the box and blasted the ball from 20 yards out to score the first goal of the game. The goal was Keen's first goal of the season.

The Hawks were able to tie the game up at the 60th minute mark as Jack Miller crossed the ball along the endline that allowed David Styles to score.

The game appeared to be headed into overtime, but an arguable handball call on Kieran Toland inside the box gave the Hawks an opportunity to take the lead with less than 90 seconds in regulation. Mike Rood lined up 12 yards away and was able to drive the ball past goalkeeper Jeremy Figler for the game-winning goal.

This was Hartwick's first win on the season, while St. Bonaventure fell to 1-7. The Hawks controlled the tempo in the second half with 10 shots compared to the Bonnies' three.
