ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team looks to bounce back after a 3-0 defeat last Sunday at the hands of Delaware as they host the Niagara Purple Eagles on Sunday September 14 at 4 p.m.
In last season's match-up between the Purple Eagles and the Bonnies, St. Bonaventure came out on top with a 3-1 victory. Nicholas Perillo registered one goal with three shots, while Steve Carcaterro had one goal on one shot. Goalkeeper Jeremy Figler was a big part of the team's success last year as he recorded seven saves.

Scouting The Bonnies:
● St. Bonaventure is 29-14-3 all-time against Niagara. The first meeting came in 1964.

Scouting The Purple Eagles:
● The Purple Eagles have posted a 2-3 record this season, with their victories coming against Buffalo and Colgate.
● Niagara was voted to finish in 10th place out of 11 by the MAAC coaches' preseason poll.
● Senior forward Callum Willmott leads the squad with two goals on the season and tallying four points. Willmott has scored every goal for Niagara so far this season.
● Freshman goalkeeper Steve Casey has a record of 1-1 with six saves and three goals allowed in only three starts.
