Box Score The Short Story: St. Bonaventure dropped the first of its two matches in the Brooklyn Bridge Cup Friday evening as LIU-Brooklyn defeated the Bonnies 4-0.
The Blackbirds jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead as Keaten Sprague buried a goal in the second minute of the match.
LIU-Brooklyn continued to roll as Nahuel Medina's shot in the 42nd minute found the back of the net. The Bonnies did not have a shot on goal in the first half.
St. Bonaventure attempted to mount a comeback in the second half as it tailed six shots (two on goal), but could not overcome the first half deficit.
The Blackbirds would add two more late-match goals in the 81st and 89th minute to seal the victory. The Bonnies, who dropped to 1-2, were outshot 18-7. LIU-Brooklyn moved to 2-1.

- Freshman goalkeeper Luke Iacobellis made his first career start for St. Bonaventure. He made five saves.
- Kyle Kleckner led the Bonnies in shots with three.
