YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team suffered a loss at the hands of Youngstown State, 5-2, on Friday night.
In No. 2 singles, Hector Martinez picked up the victory in a close match 7-6, 7-6.
In No. 4 singles, Indra Patwardhan also picked up a solid victory, edging out his opponent 7-5, 7-5 in close sets.
Lukas Linden Malmberg in No. 6 singles battled his way to three sets after winning the first set 6-3 but ultimately fell to his opponent 3-6, 7-6, 10-7.
The match saw a close No. 3 doubles match as the pair of Lukas Linden Malmberg and John Rutkowski worked a 6-3 score.
The Bonnies now sit at 3-5 in the spring season. They return home for their next match as they play host to Binghamton on Sunday, Feb. 25 at the St. Bonaventure Fitness Center beginning at 10:00 a.m.
