ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team dropped a match to Mercyhurst, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at the University Fitness Center.

Winning for the Bonnies was Davis Matney and Chase Cahill-Welsh in singles action.

Matney scored a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 2 while Cahill-Welsh picked up a win at No. 3 singles, battling to a three-set victory, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6.

Matney teamed up with Alex Kim at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, but the Lakers picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 3 to earn the doubles point.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, traveling to take on Saint Joseph's.
