OLEAN, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team defeated Fordham, 4-3, to earn its first win in the Atlantic 10 of the season.

The Bonnies got on the board first by taking two out of three doubles matches.

Darrel Harxhi and Hector Martinez defeated the Ram's duo of Finn Kemper and Jeremy Chung at No. 2 doubles, 6-1.

At No. 3 doubles, Ante Zovko and Indra Patwardhan triumphed over Max Green and Allen Thornes, 6-3.

Victor Blanco, Patwardhan and Zovko all captured singles wins to give the Bonnies the victory.

At No. 1, Blanco earned a 6-2, 6-4 win over Lutwin de Macar and Zovko took down Thornes at No. 4 7-5, 6-2. Patwardhan was victorious in a three-set match against Fabian Mauritzson, winning 6-1, 6-7, 6-2.

The Bonnies return to action tomorrow afternoon when they host Mercyhurst at the St. Bonaventure Tennis Center. The match is set to start at 2:00 p.m.
