The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team continues conference play with a pair of Atlantic 10 matches this week. The Bonnies begin the week with a trip to Fairfax, Va. to take on George Mason Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and then return home to host Saint Joseph's Saturday, also at 7:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies traveled to Rhode Island last Saturday, falling to the Rams, 4-0. Matthew Wrobel led the Bonnies offense with three shots and two shots on goal. In net, Trevor Wilson made five saves for the Brown and White.
ABOUT GEORGE MASON
George Mason enters Wednesday's contest with an overall record of 2-7-1 and are currently 0-2-0 in A-10 play. The Patriots are coming off a 3-2 win over Radford last Saturday, snapping a seven match losing streak. Mason began the 2021 fall season with a 1-1 draw against No. 11 Penn State and a 1-0 overtime victory over Furman. George Mason was picked to finish tied for 10th in this year's Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
The Patriots are led offensively by Louis Lehr with three goals and Balint Kocso who has a pair of goals for George Mason. In net, Jackson Lee has started all 10 games for George Mason, making 38 saves.
ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S
The Hawks enter the week with a 4-7-0 record overall and are 2-1-0 in conference matches. SJU has wins in three out of its last five matches with victories over George Mason (3-1), Princeton (3-2) and George Washington (2-0). The Hawks also have a 2-1 double overtime win over UNC-Greensboro this season. SJU was picked to finish 12th in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
Out of nine players to score for the Hawks this season, James Fletcher leads all scorers with four goals. Blake Driehuis, Matias Mancini and Chris Hunt have each scored a pair of goals for Saint Joseph's this year. Lars Haavie and Luis Ludosan have split time in net this season for the Hawks. Ludosan has made six starts in net with 24 saves while Haavie has made five starts, stopping 24 shots.

The Bonnies are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Marra Athletics Complex against Army, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Prior to Tuesday's match, the Bonnies will honor its seven graduating seniors – Trevor Wilson, Francesco Caorsi, Jaaziel Thompson, Fredrik Hansen, Cuneyt Vardar, Isaac Boamah and Jacob Jashinski.
