CLEVELAND – The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team dropped its final game of the Viking Invitational to host Cleveland State, 64-40, Saturday afternoon at the Wolstein Center.
I'yanna Lops led the Bonnies with 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor to go along with four rebounds and three blocks.
The Vikings (5-1) held the Bonnies scoreless over the last 5:58 of the second quarter and grabbed control of the contest, taking a 30-16 lead in to the halftime break.
Unfortunately for the visitors, the Vikings momentum carried into the second half.
Cleveland State began the third quarter with a 7-0 run, taking a 37-16 advantage.
Aaniya Webb's three brought the Bonnies (1-5) back within 16 points early in the fourth period, but the Vikings were able to pull away for good with a quick 7-0 spurt, earning the victory.
Bona's is back in action Wednesday, Nov. 30 on the road at Bucknell. Tip is slated for 4:30 p.m.
