ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team fell to Buffalo and Saint Francis (PA) this weekend.

The Bonnies dropped a 6-1 decision to Buffalo Friday evening on the road. The Brown and White made their home debut Sunday afternoon, falling to Saint Francis in a close match, 4-3.

Bona's grabbed the doubles point away from the Red Flash Sunday. Emily Stanley and Anastasia Gubanova put the Bonnies in the win column at No. 2 doubles, earning a 6-3 victory while Floor Lissone and Paula Velilla won 6-4 at No. 3.

In singles action, Lissone and Amelia Haley each earned victories. Haley defeated Dominique Yeo at the No. 1 spot in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2. Lissone bested Bente Vandeputte at No. 3 also in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.

Alexandra Jansson was victories for the Bonnies in Friday's action against the Bulls, defeating Ambre Amat at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 7-6.

The Bonnies are back in action Sunday, Feb. 20 at home against Slippery Rock. That match is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
