ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Mercyhurst Sunday afternoon at the SBU Fitness Center.

The Bonnies grabbed wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to win the team point start things off.

Stijn Paardekooper and Marco Rivolo teamed up for a 6-2 triumph over David Akinpetide and Milan Jankovic at No. 1. At the No. 3 spot, Luke Reimann and William Schneideman bested Hristo Plashecki and Morris Haab, 6-4.

In singles play, Bona's was victorious in five out of six matches to secure the home win.

Rivolo, Schneideman and Luke Young won in straight sets while Paardekooper and Norka Sanchez battled to three-set victories.

The Bonnies return to the court Sunday, March 6 at home against Siena. That match is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
