ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team earned two victories in a trio of matches against Niagara, Daemen and Grove City Friday and Saturday at the SBU Tennis Center.

The Bonnies fell to the Purple Eagles, 6-1, Friday evening. The Brown and White swept doubles play but Niagara won all six singles matches to earn the win.

Bona's bounced back in Saturday's first match against Daemen, defeating the Wildcats, 7-0.

After winning the doubles point with wins at all three flights, the Bonnies carried the momentum into singles play, sweeping all six matches.

Norka Sanchez, William Schneideman, Luke Riemann and Ethan Nguyen each won in straight sets while Jean Marrero and Filip Morawski claimed victories in three-set matches.

In the second half of Saturday's doubleheader, Bona's bested Grove City, 7-0.

The Bonnies once again swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point early on.

Stijn Paardekooper, Luke Young, Marco Rivolo, Marrero, Sanchez and Schneideman convincingly won all six singles matches to earn the win.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, March 26 at Duquesne.
