The St. Bonaventure University men's lacrosse team looks to extend its winning streak to five games against conference opponent Manhattan this Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The game will air live on ESPN+

OPENING FACEOFF
CARDIAC BONNIES
- Five of Bona's eight games this season have been decided by one goal with the Bonnies going 4-1 in those contests.
- The lone loss came against Saint Joseph's, 12-11, in the first game of the season. Since, St. Bonaventure has scored thrilling wins over Bellarmine (13-12), VMI (9-8 in overtime), Cleveland State (11-10) and Marist.
FOUR-TIME DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- For the fourth time this season, senior goalkeeper Brett Dobson was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
- This award was a result of his 19 saves in a 7-6 triumph over Marist this past weekend.
- On the season Dobson has made 132 saves with a save percentage of .660, which both rank first in the MAAC and second nationally.
- He has tallied 19 or more saves in five games already this season.
- He also earned USILA Division I Team of the Week honors.
- This week he faces off against MAAC Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year honoree in Manhattan graduate student Brendan Krebs, who ranks third in the conference in goals against average (9.31) and saves percentage (.572).
- Along with his MAAC conference and national rankings listed above, the Oshawa, Ontario native ranks fifth amongst all D-1 goalies in goals against average (8.98).

MAAC LEADERS
- St. Bonaventure is off to its best start in program history at 6-2 with its longest winning streak, having won four straight heading into this weekend. Contributions throughout the roster have helped Bona's to its outstanding start.
- Sean Westley leads the MAAC in assists (15) and points (30).
- Jake Rosa ranks third in MAAC points (26).
- Jackson Rose is third in MAAC goals (20).
- Trent Grainger ranks third in faceoff win percentage (.526) and fourth in groundballs (32)
- David Steria is second in caused turnovers (10).

BELTER'S BACK
- The Bonnies got a key piece of their defense back in the conference opener at Marist as senior Zack Belter played his first game of the 2022 season after missing non-conference action due to injury.
- Belter was a preseason All-MAAC selection and a postseason all-conference honoree last year after logging 23 groundballs and 14 caused turnovers with two long pole goals as a junior.
- He made an immediate impact at Marist, finishing with two caused turnovers and four groundballs.

ABOUT MANHATTAN
- The Jaspers have started the season with a 3-4 overall record, winning their first conference game against Quinnipiac last Saturday.
- Kyle Gucwa (17 goals, five assists), Sean MacKinney (11 goals, five assists), and Liam Walshe (10 goals, four assists) lead the team this year in scoring.
- In net graduate student Brendan Krebs has recorded 87 saves this season.
- MacKinney, Krebs, and defenseman Luke Pacher were selected to the 2022 Preseason All-MAAC Team.
- Manhattan is projected to finish third with 32 points in the 2022 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll.

- The series between the Bonnies and Jaspers is tied, 1-1.
- St. Bonaventure captured a 9-8 victory against Manhattan last season.
