WILMINGTON, N.C. – The St. Bonaventure University softball team's bats were silenced in an 8-0 defeat in five innings in the series finale at UNC Wilmington Sunday afternoon.
A two RBI single in the bottom of the third opened the scoring for UNCW in game three of the weekend between the Bonnies and the Seahawks.
The Seahawks (15-3) took complete control of the game in the bottom of the fourth, posting six runs in the inning, earning the 8-0 win.
Ally Haskell got the start for the Bonnies (1-8), pitching three innings and allowing just two earned runs. Elizabeth Lis worked and inning in relief, scattering two hits.
The Bonnies begin Atlantic 10 play on the road at George Mason Saturday, March 13 with a doubleheader kicking things off at 12:00 p.m.
