NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer sophomore Matthew Wrobel has earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday.
Wrobel was key for the Bonnies last week in contests against Binghamton and Canisius, registering three goals.
Last Monday against the Bearcats, Wrobel netted the go-ahead goal in the 67th minute and put the game out of reach in the 89th minute with his second goal of the contest.
Wrobel earned his first start of the season Friday at Canisius, scoring the game-tying goal in the 59th minute from a near impossible angle in close to the net.
He finished the week with seven total shots, five of which came on goal.
