BUFFALO – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team defeated Niagara, 6-1, at the UB Hidden Duals Saturday afternoon and fell to Buffalo, 6-1.

The Bonnies took the doubles point from the Purple Eagles with wins at the No. 1 and 2 flights.

Moving into singles action, the Bonnies earned wins from Amelia Haley, Anastasia Gubanova, Isabella Venter, Kashish Bote and Kelly Barnes.

Later in the evening, the Bonnies played host Buffalo, falling 6-1.

Gubanova registered the lone victory for the Brown and White at No. 3 singles, defeating Gabrielle Akopyan in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.

The Bonnies continue their fall slate at the ITA Regionals Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Princeton, N.J.
