RICHMOND, Va. – The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team fell at VCU, 4-0, Saturday evening on the road in the 2023 season finale.
The Rams (5-5-5, 5-1-2 A-10) netted the game's first goal in the 21st minute off the foot of Jonathan Kanagwa and never looked back.
VCU added a second goal before halftime when Andrey Salmeron found the back of the net in the 31st minute.
The hosts kept did not let up, adding goals in the 65th and 68th minute to secure the victory.
Rafael Pereira paced the Bonnies with three shots while Kenzo Brito and Daniel Helle tallied two shots each. Umechi Akuazaoku and Andres Javitt also registered a shot for the Brown and White.
Jules Dechert made two saves in net for the Bonnies.
Brito led the team this fall with 14 points (4G-6A) while Akuazaoku (5G-3A) and Javitt (5G-2A) had 13 and 12 points respectively. Rafael Pereira tied with Brito for the team assists lead with six apiece.
The Bonnies finish the season 6-7-4 overall and 2-5-1 in Atlantic 10 play.
