ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team shutout Saint Francis (PA), 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the SBU Fitness Center.
The Bonnies were able to sweep the doubles point from Saint Francis, earning wins at all three spots.
Archie Graham and Rasmus Egehus teamed up for a 6-2 win at the top flight while Jean Marrero and Connor Turner were victorious at No. 2, 6-1. Anargha Ganguly and Norka Sanchez completed the sweep of doubles with a 7-5 win at No. 3.
Graham, Egehus, Turner and Marrero earned victories at the top four spots to begin singles action. Graham, Egehus and Turner each bested their opponents in straight sets while Marrero battled back from a set down to win in three sets.
Ganguly and Luke Young captured wins at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, completing the shutout of Saint Francis.
The Bonnies are back in action Sunday, Feb. 26 when they host Bucknell.
