NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The St. Bonaventure men's basketball team has earned a first round bye as the No. 9 seed in the 2023 Atlantic 10 Tournament and will play eighth-seeded Davidson Wednesday, March 8 at 11:30 a.m. in the second round at Barclays Center. The game will air nationally on USA Network from Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Bonnies (14-17, 8-10 A-10) will look to avenge a 74-61 loss at Davidson Feb. 22.

SBU and Davidson have met twice in the A-10 Tournament previously with the Wildcats taking an overtime quarterfinal matchup in 2016 as well as a semifinal meeting in 2018.

Davidson finished the season 15-15 overall and 8-10 in conference play after winning three of its final four regular season contests.

Wednesday's winner will advance to play the A-10 regular season champion VCU Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
