ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The radio footprint for the St. Bonaventure men's basketball team will include listeners from across the Southern Tier and Central New York with the addition of affiliates in Rochester and Hornell this season.
St. Bonaventure Athletics has added WYSL in Rochester and WLEA in Hornell to carry a total of 20 Bonnies men's basketball games during the season, including all pregame and postgame shows.
Bonaventure fans listening from the greater Rochester area in Monroe, Ontario and Livingston counties will be able to tune in to 92.1 and 95.5 FM to catch the Bonnies throughout the season. For fans in the Hornell area in Stueben County, they'll catch the Brown and White at 92.1 or 106.9 FM.
"We are extremely excited to add WLEA and WYSL to our burgeoning Bonnies Radio Network. For the first time in decades, legions of St. Bonaventure Basketball fans in the Greater Rochester and Greater Hornell areas will be able to listen to Bona games on terrestrial radio," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Bob Beretta. "Expanding our radio reach and footprint remains critical to our strategy of extending the St. Bonaventure brand. We are thrilled to provide this listening opportunity to fans in what remains a very important geographic demographic on six different radio signals. Many thanks to Bob Savage and his team for welcoming the Bonnies on WLEA and WYSL. I'd also like to extend deep gratitude to our friends at 100.1 FM The Hero for serving as the flagship station of St. Bonaventure men's basketball broadcasts."
WYSL has operated in Avon/Rochester since 1987 while WLEA has served Hornell since 1951. WYSL station owner and founder Bob Savage started his radio career at WLEA on his 17th birthday in 1967 and signed paperwork to purchase WLEA on his 75th birthday in 2025.
"WYSL and WLEA are pleased to bring St. Bonaventure Division I basketball back on the terrestrial radio in the greater Rochester area and the Southern Tier," Savage said.
Closer to campus, 100.1 FM The Hero in Bradford remains the Bonnies flagship affiliate, serving the Olean and Bradford markets again with all broadcasts during the 2025-26 campaign.
Earlier this fall, the Bonnies announced the addition of WKSN Legends 1340AM to the radio network lineup. WKSN will cover the Jamestown listening area, providing all Bonnies men's basketball games this year on the radio throughout Chautauqua County.
Regardless of a fan's listening area, all St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball games can be heard for free on the internet via the Bonnies Online Network.
