Box Score AMHERST, MASS. – The St. Bonaventure University men's lacrosse team fell at UMass, 14-3, Saturday afternoon.

The Bonnies got on the board 14 seconds into Saturday's contest.
Â
Quinn Nolan picked up the faceoff win, then
Sean Westley received a
Mark Belles and put the ball into the back of the net for an early 1-0 lead.
Â
However, UMass (7-4, 2-1 A-10) would take over the game, going on a 9-2 run to end the half.
Â
Westley scored again with about a minute left in the first half.
Â
UMass continued its offensive attack in the second half, notching five scores and holding St. Bonaventure to only one goal.
Â
For the Bonnies (1-11, 0-3 A-10), the lone goal in the second half came from Westley for his third hat trick of the season and his 23
rd multi-goal game of his career.

Freshman goalkeeper
Cristofero Cucciuffo was a bright spot Saturday afternoon, making a career-high 22 saves.
Â
Cucciuffo broke his previous career-high of 19 saves that he set against Saint Joseph's last Saturday.
Â
He now sits tied with
Brett Dobson for third in the record book for most saves in a single game. Dobson recorded 22 saves at Saint Joseph's on Feb. 12, 2022.

This marks the third game this season that Cucciuffo has tallied 15 or more saves in a game.
Â
Nolan went 7-for-19 in the faceoff circle.
Â
Mike Tobin finished with three goals to lead the way for UMass, while Gabriel Procyk had a team-high four assists.
Â
In net, Matt Knote started and made eight saves for UMass.
Â
The Bonnies return home for a matchup against High Point on Saturday, April 22. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
