EMMITSBURG, MD – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team bested Mount St. Mary's, 4-3, to split a pair of weekend matches with the Mountaineers and George Mason. The Bonnies fell to George Mason, 5-2, in Atlantic 10 action Saturday afternoon.
Winning for the Bonnies were Archie Graham and Rasmus Egehus at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
Graham took down Rithik Sardana in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1, while Egehus battled back from a set down to win, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, over Momin Khan.
In Sunday's action, Graham, Anargha Ganguly, Jean Marrero and Luke Young all won in singles play to help capture the victory for the Brown and White.
Graham and Ganguly defeated their opponents in straight sets. Marrero recovered to win in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Luke Young also won in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
The Bonnies finish the regular season with a 10-9 record overall and 2-3 against Atlantic 10 foes.
Next up is the Atlantic 10 Tournament at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., beginning Wednesday, April 26. Match time and opponent are to be announced at a later date.
