NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team has earned the No. 7 seed for the upcoming Atlantic 10 Tournament, beginning Wednesday, April 26 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
The Bonnies are slated to take on 10-seeded Fordham Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the first round
The winner of the match between the Bonnies and the Rams advances to take on 2-seed Richmond Thursday evening.
Freshman Connor Turner leads the Bonnies in singles victories, capturing 15 wins during his debut season. Fellow freshman Anargha Ganguly is second on the team with 13 singles wins followed by junior Luke Young and freshman Rasmus Egehus with 11 wins apiece.
In doubles action, the freshmen duo of Archie Graham and Egehus have team up for an 8-3 record at the No. 1 flight this spring.
The Bonnies advanced to the second round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament a season ago, defeating George Mason in the first round, 4-2.
