Bonnies Women's Soccer Adds Colorado State Transfer Forward Ishana Sandhu

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure women's soccer head coach Donny George has announced the signing of transfer forward Ishana Sandhu to join the program for the 2023 season.

"I am very excited to announce our eighth and last signing for 2023. Through this process, Ishana has demonstrated the characteristics of what we are looking for in a Bonnies Women's Soccer student-athlete," George said. "Ishana is committed to the new direction this program is heading. She has a very strong background with Vancouver Club team Surrey United and was a British Columbia Canadian Provincial team player. She comes to us from a high-level program at Colorado State and will be able to bring that experience with her. We are thrilled to have her join our program!"

Sandhu comes to the Bonnies from Colorado State where she spent her freshman season in 2022 and was one of only two freshmen to log minutes during the past season for the Rams.

A 5-foot-10 native of White Rock, British Columbia, she played at Earl Marriott Secondary School and for Surrey United SC, the top-ranked club in BC and seventh nationally according to GotSoccer.com in 2019. She scored a goal in five contests as Surrey United finished third at the Canadian Nationals in Edmonton after dropping a match to the eventual champions. She also helped Surrey capture a BC Soccer Premier Cup victory.

She comes from a soccer family as her cousin, Danny Batth, has played professionally overseas for over a dozen years in the Premier League and English Football League Championship, currently at Sunderland and previously on the Wolverhampton Wanders.

Sandhu joins seven other newcomers on the Bonnies roster for this fall. St. Bonaventure opens the 2023 season Aug. 17 at Eastern Michigan.
