LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies dropped a heartbreaker on the road last Sunday, playing Cleveland State down to the wire before conceding the game's first score in the 87
th minute. A handful of late chances provided an opportunity for Bona to get on the board, but some timely defense by the Vikings and multiple connections with the crossbar closed the book on a 1-0 loss.
Â
HOMECOMING
SBU has racked up lots of miles on the road this season already, playing five straight away games after opening the year at home. Matchups against Binghamton (8/21), Youngstown State (8/24), Saint Peter's (8/28), Post (8/31), and Cleveland State (9/7) have brought the Bonnies to five different U.S. states in the season's early going.
Â
VETERAN LEADERSHIP
Giovanna Coghetto and
Daniela De Souza, both fifth-year players, pace the team in points and have provided a large portion of the offense. They have recorded nine points (4G-1A) and four points (1G-2A), respectively.
