ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y.—The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team fought to a 0-0 draw in its first Atlantic 10 conference match with Dayton Thursday at the Marra Athletics Complex.
The Flyers controlled possession in the first half taking 14 shots, landing five on target. The Bonnies defense withstood the test, keeping the Flyers off the scoreboard.
Sophomore
Ami Komori had the lone shot for the Bonnies in the opening 45. Her arching shot coming from outside the left corner of the box was handled by Dayton's goalkeeper.
The Brown and White picked things up in the second half controlling possession and staying in the attacking half.
Olivia Allen put two shots on frame for the Bonnies. The sophomore had an opportunity to break the deadlock in the 81
st minute, but Dayton's keeper stretched out to save the shot.
Allie Grant-Clavijo also put a shot on net for the Bonnies.
Junior goalkeeper
Chiara Gottinger made eight saves, posting her first shutout of the season. Gottinger moves into a tie for fifth place all-time in Bonnies program history with 11 career shutouts, matching Karen Cunningham, '01.

Kenzie Tarmino and
Hannah Walker helped lock things down on the back line as they all played the full 90 minutes.
The Bonnies take their longest trip of the year to Davidson on Sunday as they search for their first conference win of the year.
