ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis fell to Little Three rival Niagara, 5-2, Saturday morning at the SBU Tennis Center.
Anargha Ganguly and Rasmus Egehus teamed up for a win at No. 2 doubles, taking down Vid Maric and Jose Maria Garcia, 6-2.
The Purple Eagles, however, earned the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spot.
Hugo Cochlin posted the first win in singles for the Bonnies, defeating Garcia in straight sets at No. 4, 6-1, 6-2.
Ganguly also picked a win in singles action at No. 3 singles, battling back from a set down to best Maric, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Niagara captured wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles, earning the Little Three victory.
The Bonnies are back in action Friday, Feb. 23 when they host Buffalo. That match is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the SBU Tennis Center
