Saturday, March 23 - 1:00 p.m.
Marra Athletics Complex
TV: ESPN+
OPENING FACEOFF
- The St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team looks to keep momentum going as it hosts Marquette Saturday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Complex after winning last time out vs. Canisius.
- Saturday will be Senior Day at the Marra Athletics Complex. Prior to the game, the Bonnies will honor their four traditional seniors as part of the Class of 2024 - Cam Germain, Connor Steria, Tage Hoeg and Nick Porfilio.
- St. Bonaventure has received many outstanding contributions from a standout freshman class. Jake Kucinski and Patrick Shanahan have taken three of the six Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week awards this year with Kucinski winning the honors for the second time earlier this week following his four-goal effort vs. Canisius.
- Kucinski ranks first among all Atlantic 10 freshmen with 16 goals this season (which is good for seventh overall among all A-10 players).Â
- Shanahan's 12 goals on the year ranks third among A-10 freshmen, behind only Chris Patterson of Hobart and his teammate Kucinski, and 10th overall.
- The Bonnies are hosting a Big East opponent for the first time in their Division I history. The Bonnies and Golden Eagles are wrapping up a home-and-home series that saw Marquette take a 9-5 win last March indoors. Jake Rosa led Bona with a hat trick in last year's game while Cris Cucciuffo made 13 saves in net. Bobby O'Grady powered Marquette with four goals. The contest was a homecoming of sorts for Wisconsin natives Nick and Will Porfilio who hail from Milwaukee. A third Wisconsin native is on this year's roster, freshman Nolan Wilde (Hartland, Wisc.) who is out with an injury for the season.
