Richmond grabbed a 5-0 lead by the six-minute mark of the first quarter and never looked back.

Drew Kenney had a career-high three points as he scored twice and handed out an assist.

Conor Murphy, Kyle Pepper, Jake Emmick and Joey Paterno all scored goals for the Bonnies as well. Jake Kucinski and Anthony Cimino were also credited with assists.

Nick Porfilio caused three Richmond turnovers while Quinn Nolan won 10 faceoffs with eight groundballs.

The Bonnies travel to play at High Point next weekend.

GAME NOTES

  • Saturday was Bona's first-ever Every Child Matters Game. The Bonnies wore orange shirts in pregame to recognize the initiative that brings awareness to the forcible placement of Indigenous children in residential and boarding schools by Canadian and US governments from the 19th century to as late as 1996 in Canada. The orange shirt is now a symbol of the culture and freedom lost by Indigenous children over generations placed in residential schools.
  • Performers from the Seneca Nation displayed traditional dances including the Standing Quiver, War Dance and Smoke Dance. Prior to the game, a ceremonial faceoff was also held with Seneca Nation President Rickey Armstrong along with Bona's Onenioteko:wa Maracle and Richmond's Lance Madonna.
