PHILADELPHIA – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team defeated Saint Joseph's, 4-0, Sunday afternoon, splitting a pair of weekend matches against the Hawks and George Mason.

The Bonnies started fast Sunday morning, earning the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2.

In singles action, Cirkeline Lundberg battled to a three-set win over Victoria Tracey, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, at the top flight.

Isabella Venter and Anastasia Gubanova each picked up straight-set victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively, clinching the team win for the Brown and White.

In Saturday's action against George Mason, the Bonnies picked up wins at the top two doubles spots, grabbing the team point from the Patriots.

Also winning for Bonnies was Venter in singles action, taking down Ruju Chauhan in straight sets at No. 2, 6-4, 6-0.

The Patriots earned singles win at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, claiming the team win.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, April 13 when they take on Duquesne in Dayton, Ohio.
