ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – UMass scored a 15-3 win over the St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team Saturday afternoon on a chilly, windy day at the Marra Athletics Complex.

Bona's scored the first goal of the game as Kellen Pulera deposited a pass from Joey Paterno into the back of the net to continue his consecutive games with a goal streak to 10 and the Bonnies led with just over four minutes off the clock.

UMass responded for the tie 62 seconds later, and took a 3-1 advantage after the first quarter.

The visitors scored twice in the second period and a Drew Kenney goal for the Bonnies made it a 5-2 score at halftime.

UMass would dominate the second half, though, scoring five times in each the third and fourth periods.

Kenney's second of the day, this time assisted by Patrick Shanahan, with 12:33 left in the third quarter would be the only offense of the second half for the Bonnies as they were stymied by the UMass defense.

Matt Knote, who entered the day leading the Atlantic 10 in saves per game, made 11 stops in net for UMass (6-5, 2-1 A-10).

Mike Tobin led a balanced scoring effort for UMass with three goals and four points while 10 different players scored for the visitors.

Cristofero Cucciuffo made 18 saves in net for the Bonnies (1-9, 0-3).

St. Bonaventure travels to play at Saint Joseph's next Saturday at noon.
