WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure freshman catcher Antonio Cordeiro has earned Atlantic 10 Baseball Rookie of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday.

Cordeiro, who has split time behind the plate and at DH this season, had a strong week at the plate by slashing .500/.533/.750 over a four-game span. He had a career-high four hits and four RBIs in the second game at Saint Joseph's, going 4-for-5 at the plate including his fourth home run of the season. The Pittsburgh native followed that up with another multi-hit game Sunday, picking up two hits and getting on base a third time via a walk.

For the season, Cordeiro is hitting .287 with 22 RBIs and a .415 on-base percentage that ranks second on the team among regular starters. He has started 24 of the team's 32 games while appearing in 30 and posted seven multi-hit games.

The Bonnies are slated to host Canisius Tuesday before welcoming Richmond for a three-game A-10 series beginning Friday.
