ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – A trio of St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse student-athletes have earned Academic All-District recognition from College Sports Communicators: Mark Belles, Cristofero Cucciuffo and Ryan Olan.

The 2024 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

Belles receives the honor for the second consecutive year after graduating with a degree in finance. A graduate student with a 3.68 cumulative GPA, the Canandaigua, N.Y. native is a five-year member of the Bonnies lacrosse program. He finished his career this spring with 45 total points (21G-24A) with 40 groundballs in 42 total games.

This season, Belles played in 12 games with two goals and six assists. He finished his playing career with a goal in his final collegiate game against Hobart.

Cucciuffo takes his first Academic All-District honor with a 3.55 cumulative GPA in accounting.

An Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team pick last year, he was named the A-10's Co-Defensive Player of the Week following the first week of 2024 competition. The sophomore from Easton, Pa. started 10 of 11 games played in his second collegiate season, making 127 saves with a .510 save percentage. He stopped double-digit shots in eight games.

A junior from Oshawa, Ontario, Olan owns a 3.93 cumulative GPA as a finance major.

Olan is a long stick midfielder who led the Bonnies in caused turnovers this season with nine. In the past two seasons, he has played in 25 games including two starts. He also scooped up seven groundballs during the season.

He previously was named to the Atlantic 10's All-Academic Team last month.

For the Bonnies, the three Academic All-District selections represent a program record for one year.

Honorees were nominated by and voted on by athletic communications directors nationwide. To be eligible, student-athletes needed to be at least sophomores academically while competing in 90 percent of the team's games this season.
