The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team hosts Le Moyne Wednesday, Sept. 18. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Marra Athletics Complex.
The Bonnies remain at home to host Fordham in the Atlantic 10 opener Saturday, Sept. 21. That match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies fell to Niagara, 4-2, on the road last Saturday.
Bona's grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute when Andres Javitt's low cross deflected off a Niagara defender and into the back of the net.
The Bonnies made it 2-0 after Rashid Aroza's first goal of the season in the 60th minute.
Niagara cut the deficit in half with a penalty kick in the 77th minute.
Purple Eagles forward Gerard Forner tallied a natural hat-trick with goals in the 81st, 82nd and 84th minutes, giving Niagara the victory.
HOME SWEET HOME
Wednesday marks the first home game for the Bonnies since the season opener on Aug. 22. The Bonnies have since played five straight games on the road. The Bonnies went 2-3 over that stretch, earning wins over Canisius (2-1) and Quinnipiac (2-1).
The Bonnies now will play three straight games on home turf, hosting Le Moyne, Fordham (Sept. 21) and Robert Morris (Sept. 24).
MARATHON MAN
St. Bonaventure senior Xaver Ehrlich is the lone Bonnies player this season to play full time in all six games for a total of 540 minutes.
Prior to this season, Ehrlich had played full time four times in 23 career games with the Brown and White.
SCORING LEADERS
Through six games this season, Andres Javitt leads the Bonnies with four points on one goal and a pair of assists. Keegan Dawson ranks second on the Bonnies with three points, scoring a goal and adding an assist.
Umechi Akuazaoku, Rashid Aroza and Luc Finelli have also netted a goal for the Brown and White while Gabriel Addo, Bo Drath, Will O'Connor and Mo Tall have tallied an assist.
LE MOYNE NOTES
Le Moyne enters Wednesday's contest 3-1-1 overall, capturing wins over Canisius (3-2), No. 7 Syracuse (1-0) and Saint Peter's (2-0) while also drawing against Delaware (2-2). Le Moyne finished its first season in Division I and the Northeast Conference 2-8-7 overall and 2-3-3 against NEC foes. The Dolphins were picked to finish fourth in the NEC preseason poll.
Jack Goodrich leads the Dolphins offensively with three goals this season. Five different players have registered one goal for Le Moyne in 2024. In net, Wyatt Dupell has made 17 saves while allowing five goals in five games.
ABOUT FORDHAM
Fordham enters the weekend 3-2-2 overall and are coming off a 2-2 draw against Manhattan Monday evening. The Rams have picked up wins over Sacred Heart (2-1), Colgate (3-2) and Santa Clara (4-0) while falling to No. 24 Penn (3-1) and Marist (2-1). Fordham was picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
Daniel D'Ippolito leads the Rams and ranks second in the A-10 with 12 points and five goals. Luke Pompliano is second on the Rams with five points on two goals and one assist. In net, Carter Abbott has made six starts, making 24 saves while allowing eight goals.
