LAST WEEK LOOK BACK
The Bonnies returned home after five straight games on the road for a pair of matchups against Le Moyne and Fordham, earning a pair of ties.
Last Wednesday against the Dolphins, the Bonnies trailed 1-0 heading into the final six minutes of the contest. Mattia Ferretti sent in a long ball into the scoring area where Umechi Akuazaoku headed the ball down to Andres Javitt who found the back of the net with the game-tying goal in the 85th minute.
In the Atlantic 10 opener, the Bonnies and Rams battled for 32 minutes Saturday evening before a two-hour lightning delay forced the two teams to come back Sunday morning to finish the game, playing to a scoreless draw. Nicolas Pucci made four saves en route to his first shutout of the season and the third clean sheet of his career.
SCORING LEADERS
Javitt leads the way for the Bonnies offensively with four points this season on two goals and two assists. Akuazaoku and Keegan Dawson rank second on the team with three points, registering a goal and an assist.
Rashid Aroza and Luc Finelli have also registered a goal for the Brown and White this season. Gabriel Addo, Bo Drath, Daniel Helle, Will O'Connor, Mo Tall and Ferretti have all registered an assist.
STARTING STRONG
Sunday's result against Fordham was the third time out of the last four seasons that the Bonnies have began Atlantic 10 play with at least a point and their second straight opener with a clean sheet. The Bonnies defeated George Mason last season, 2-0, and took down Davidson, 1-0, in 2021. Bona's only recent blemish to kickoff conference play was a 3-0 against Fordham in 2022.
