ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure Director of Golf Patrick Damore has announced the commitment of three recruits to join the men's golf team beginning in the 2026-27 academic year: Nicolas Gaughan, Mitchell Sargent and Reid Wilson.

Gaughan is a product of West Chester, Pa. where he plays for Unionville High. During his high school career so far, he has qualified for the state tournament twice and earned All-State honors as a junior while rising to No. 66 in the national high school rankings.

"Nicolas comes from the Philadelphia area which is arguably the most competitive golf market in the United States," Damore said. "His competitive resume is top shelf and it shows on the course. Nicolas had success at the junior and amateur level already and will be a key asset for the Bonnies Golf program going forward."

Sargent hails from Troy, Ohio, where he is a two-time Miami Valley League Player of the Year at Troy HS. He is also a three-time Southwest District First Team selection and qualified for the 2025 Ohio State Championships. He set the course record of 8-under 63 at Windy Knoll Golf Course as well.

"We are fortunate to grab Mitchell. He is a very good player from the Dayton area," Damore said. "He also comes from a very strong golf market and his resume shows he is ready for the Division I level. He had a very successful junior career with success at the amateur level as well."

Wilson is a product of Pittsford, N.Y. where he plays for McQuaid Jesuit. He was selected to the All-Greater Rochester First Team this past spring and also helped his squad to a sectional championship in 2023.

"Reid comes from a golfing family, his father is a PGA professional, and he has had success at the junior and amateur level," Damore said. "He's a very mature young man. We lose length off the tee with our graduating seniors this year and Reid will make up for that and then some. He has the ability to overpower any course with his length. When his short game matures, he will be a dominant force for the Bonnies."
