The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team heads out on the road for the first time in the new campaign, traveling to take on Little Three rival Niagara Friday, Nov. 7. Tipoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Gallagher Center.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies kicked off the new season with a convincing 82-34 win over Mansfield Monday night at the Reilly Center.
Laycee Drake paced the Bonnies with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists in 13 minutes of action. Kaylee Krysztof chipped in nine points for the Brown and White on a trio of 3-pointers. All 14 Bonnies scored Monday.
The Mountaineers took an early 5-0 lead before the Bonnies rattled off 27 unanswered points to take control of the contest.
PROGRAM BESTS
The Bonnies 48-point margin of victory tied a program record, matching the 48-point win over Saint Francis (PA) on Dec. 7, 2003.
Bona's defense allowed just 34 points, tying the fifth-lowest mark in program history.
WITH A WIN
The Brown and White are looking to start the season 2-0 for the first time since the 2021-22 season. That year, the Bonnies bested Robert Morris and Siena to begin the season.
Also during the 2021-22 campaign the Bonnies posted an 8-4 record in non-conference games.
ROAD WARRIORS
The Bonnies are slated to play eight out their 12 non-conference games away from the Reilly Center.
Following the home opener Monday the Bonnies do not return to The RC until Nov. 14, opening a three-game homestand. After the Nov. 22 matchup with UAlbany, it will be 39 days before the Bonnies are back on home court, hosting George Washington on New Year's Eve.
NIAGARA NOTES
- Friday marks the first contest of the season for the Purple Eagles after finishing last season 3-25 overall and 2-18 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play. Niagara was picked to finish 11th in the MAAC preseason poll.
- Niagara is led by Jada Pierce who is in her 11th season at the helm of the Purple Eagles. She touts a record of 112-177 with the Purple Eagles and is 120-223 overall in 13 seasons as a head coach.
- Talia Dial returns as the leading scorer for Niagara, averaging 8.9 points per game a season ago.
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Purple Eagles are set to meet for the 68th time Friday evening, marking the second longest series in program history behind Duquesne (71 meetings).
Bona's is 40-27 all-time against the Purple Eagles, including a nine-game win streak from 2007-15. Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley is 14-4 all-time against Niagara.

The Bonnies remain on the road to take on Binghamton Tuesday, Nov. 11. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
