ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over Ashland Monday afternoon at the University Fitness Center.

The Bonnies were able to come away with the doubles point to begin the match, earning wins at No. 1 and No. 2.

The duo of Isabella Venter and Tamara Bachmann scored a 6-1 win at the top spot while Sienna Smith and Kashish Bote were victorious, 6-2, at No. 2.

In singles action, Venter, Smith and Kelly Barnes all picked up wins in straight sets at the No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5 spots.

Bachmann and Bote each battled back from a set down to capture wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles.

The Bonnies are back in action Tuesday, March 4 in Orlando, Fla. when they take on Georgetown.
