ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- The St. Bonaventure men's and women's swim and dive teams have been named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Scholar All-America Team after an outstanding semester of work in the classroom.
 
The CSCAA announced the selection of 781 teams from 459 institutions for the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2024 semester. These teams, comprising 19,209 student-athletes, were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.
 
The Bona women's squad earned a 3.643 GPA for the Fall 2024 semester while the men's team earned a 3.393 team GPA.
 
"This recognition honors programs that achieve the highest standards in the classroom while representing their institution in the pool," Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA said. "Coach Mike Smiechowski, the Bonaventure staff, and the entire team have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to success both academically and athletically, setting a standard of excellence we can all be proud of."
 
This is the third consecutive year that both the St. Bonaventure men's and women's teams have earned the honor.
 
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the first organization of college coaches in America and serves as a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
