The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team travels to take on Massachusetts Wednesday, Feb. 5. Tipoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Mullins Center.

TIPPING OFF
The Bonnies are looking to end a seven-game losing streak following an 80-46 loss to Duquesne Sunday afternoon at the Reilly Center.
Dani Haskell paced the Bonnies with 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Mackenzie Pettinelli chipped in nine points for the Brown and White while Zoe Shaw tallied eight points and six rebounds. Gabby Robinson Forde pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds for the Bonnies.
An 11-0 Duquesne run midway through the second quarter gave the Dukes a 37-20 lead and the visitors never looked back.
Megan McConnell registered 17 points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists for Duquesne.
TRENDING NUMBERS
11 – Bona's has used 11 different starting lineup combinations this season. It is the second-most starting five variations in the NCAA behind New Orleans and UNC Asheville with 12 each.
14 – Bonnies freshman Zoe Shaw has registered double figures in 14 games this season. That is the most by a Bonnies freshman since Asianae Johnson in 2018-19 when she scored in double figures 13 times. Deja Francis tallied 12 games in doubles figures in 2018-19 and Katie Healy also had 12 contests with at least 10 points during the 2012-13 campaign. Shaw is averaging 11.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this season.
22 – Dani Haskell, Mackenzie Pettinelli and Shaw are the only three Bonnies to appear in all 22 games this season. Shaw has started all 22 contests while Haskell and Pettinelli have each started 20.
75.9% – The Bonnies are shooting 75.9 percent from the free throw line this season, ranking fourth in the Atlantic 10 and 44th in the NCAA.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
- Massachusetts enters the weekend 12-10 overall and 7-4 in Atlantic 10 play following a 60-50 victory over La Salle Sunday afternoon. The win over the Explorers was the third straight victory for UMass, having beaten VCU (54-49) and George Washington (71-54) prior to that.
- The Minutewomen are coached by Mike Leflar who is in his second season at the helm after serving as an assistant coach on staff from 2018-23. Leflar was named head coach at UMass in April 2023 after former head coach Tory Verdi took the head coaching position at Pitt. Leflar owns a head coaching record of 17-37.
- Megan Olbrys leads the way for the Minutewomen, averaging 14.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Yahmani McKayle averages 12.6 points for UMass while Allie Palmieri chips in 12.5 points per contest.
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Minutewomen are set to meet for the 69th time Sunday afternoon, marking the second-longest all-time series in Bonnies program history behind Duquesne (70 games). UMass holds the edge in the all-time series, 38-30, and has won the last six matchups.
The two sides matched up at the Reilly Center Jan. 12 with the Minutewomen coming out on top, 67-58. Dani Haskell had 29 points to lead the Bonnies.
Wednesday marks the final regular season matchup between St. Bonaventure and Massachusetts with the Minutewomen as members of the Atlantic 10. UMass is set to join the Mid-American Conference at the beginning of the next academic year.
Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley is 15-13 all-time against UMass.
