The St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team returns to the Marra Athletics Complex Saturday to host Bucknell. The Bonnies are 0-1 after a loss last weekend to VMI, while the Bison enters at 1-0 after taking down Merrimack.

In the season opener against VMI, seniors
Kyle Pepper and
Conor Murphy both scored two goals on four shots each, accounting for the Bonnies' first four goals of the season. Fellow seniors
Anthony Cimino and

In his St. Bonaventure debut, freshman
Lad Harper won 11 faceoffs and scooped three groundballs, getting the offense going early from the dot.Â

In the season opener, redshirt senior
Connor Robinson saved eight shots while true freshman Isacc Farmer made his debut and tallied four saves.Â

ABOUT BUCKNELL
- Bucknell visits the Marra Athletics Complex with a 1-0 record after taking down Merrimack at home, 23-7 (1/1).Â
- The Bison are coached by Frank Fedorjaka in his 20th season with the team. He has compiled record of 151-117 (70-57 Patriot League) and is only the second head coach in program history.Â
- Senior Preseason All-Patriot League selection and team captain Connor Davis leads the attack unit with juniors Michael Meyer and Will Hopkins. The three have combined for 168 goals and 58 assists in past seasons, and in they collectively scored 22 points in this year's season opener.Â
- On the defensive end, the Bison return all three starters: senior George Talarico and juniors Will Pickering and Louie Germain. Pickering led the team with 21 caused turnovers last year and tallied three more against Merrimack alongside four groundballs, while Germain caused three turnovers of his own. Â
- Junior Jaz Zanelli has been the starting goalie for the past two seasons, and last year totaled 76 saves in 11 appearances. However, in the season opener the Bison started fellow junior Luke Renaud, who made six saves in the contest.Â
- Bucknell will look to stifle opponents this season with a defense that ranked seventh nationally in caused turnovers per game last year.Â
