OPENING FACEOFF
The St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team plays host to Binghamton on Tuesday afternoon for their final non-conference game of the season. They will then go on the road to face 10th ranked Richmond on Saturday afternoon to open their conference schedule. The Binghamton contest was originally scheduled to be played on Feb. 15 but was rescheduled due to inclement weather. The Bonnies will be well-rested going into the week after a 10-day break from competition as their last appearance ended in a 9-5 loss to Bellarmine on March 15. On the contrary, the Bearcats will have played two games in three days after picking up their fourth win of the season over NJIT this past Saturday, 9-4. Richmond last appeared in a tightly contested, down-to-the-wire finish where they took down 13th-ranked Georgetown on the road, 13-12.

LAST TIME OUT
Bona's loss to Bellarmine snapped a three-game winning streak, which was the longest for the program since the 2022 season when they went 11-4. The Bonnies started out hot with five goals in the first 17 minutes, led by senior attacker Conor Murphy's assist and two goals. From that point on, however, the Bonnies were held scoreless, and Bellarmine took advantage of the drought by scoring the last seven goals of the contest. Freshman goalie Isaac Farmer tied his single-game career high in the performance with 14 saves.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP
The Bonnies have benefited from productive veteran leaders throughout the season. Murphy leads the squad with 24 points (16G-8A) and has started in all 10 games. Fellow seniors, midfielders Drew Kenney (10G-8A) and Kyle Pepper (9G-9A), are tied for second on the team with 18 points each after also starting in every contest.

DISRUPTIVE DEFENSE
SBU boasts the nation's 25th ranked scoring defense, allowing on average just 10 goals per game. Prior to the matchup with Bellarmine, the Bonnies had a seven-game stretch where they only allowed 7.1 goals per game, a figure that would rank fourth in the country if it encompassed the entire season. Leading the defense has been redshirt sophomore LSM Owen Tasse with 11 caused turnovers, good for the team lead, and an additional 15 groundballs.

TAKING ADVANTAGE
Bonaventure ranks 26th in the country in man-up offense, successful on 41.9 percent of extra-man opportunities. They have 13 goals in 31 chances on the year.

FRESHMAN FACEOFF
Rookie faceoff specialist Lad Harper has been effective at the faceoff dot in his freshman campaign. He has taken over 70 percent of the team's faceoffs and won 77 total for a winning percentage of 52 percent. He also leads the team in groundballs with 42.

BETWEEN THE POSTS
Freshman Isaac Farmer has started in nine games and appeared in all 10 for the Bonnies in goal. He has totaled 95 saves for a 53.1 percent save percentage.
