TEMPE, Ariz. – St. Bonaventure University women's tennis rising senior Isabella Venter has been announced as the recipient of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Region Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award, officials announced Tuesday.

A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Venter shined for the Bonnies on and off the court this season.

On the court, Venter posted a team-high 16 wins in doubles while also leading the team with 13 singles wins. She scored singles wins over Georgetown and Seton Hall.

Venter went 6-0 in doubles action between the Army and Navy Invitational during the fall season while also picking up a first round win in doubles at the ITA Regionals and the Atlantic 10 Masters.

In the classroom, Venter posted a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring semester and carries a 3.834 cumulative GPA as an economics major.
