ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure Vice President and Director of Athletics Bob Beretta announced Wednesday that a search will begin for new leadership in its women's soccer program as Melissa Sherwood will not return as head coach.
 
"Following an evaluation of our program, I determined new leadership is necessary to guide our team into the future. I am confident we will identify a coach who will be able to lead our program to new heights of success," Beretta said. "I want to thank Coach Sherwood for her leadership of our women's soccer program and I wish her well in her future endeavors."
 
A national search for St. Bonaventure's next women's soccer head coach will begin immediately.
