PITTSBURGH -
Dhavgely Mendoza swept the diving events to highlight dual meet action for the St. Bonaventure women's swim and dive team at Duquesne.
Duquesne captured the team win, 156-85.
Mendoza placed first from both 1 and 3 meters, scoring 276.45 and 273.08, respectively. Teammate
Lia Doskoris took second from 3 meters, scoring 259.65.
The 200-medley relay of
Sophie Baker,
Paris Christie,
Isabella Giupatto and
Kate Hill and the 400-freestyle relay of
Anna Bojana Forjan, Hill,
Laila Chance and
Nele Vetter both placed second in their fields. In the 200-freestyle relay, the team of Baker, Hill, Forjan and Vetter placed second, while the team of
Maris Sadowski, Annabeth Blankenship,
Laila Chance and Giupatto took third.
Sophie Baker's 24.45 time in the 50-free and 56.88 in the 100-back were good for second.
Katie Beyer's 1:55.33 time for the 200-free,
Anna Bojana Forjan's 2:09.23 200-IM and
Isabella Giupatto's 57.93 in the 100-fly were all good for second-place finishes as well. In the 500-free,
Samantha Schnappauf took second with her time of 5:10.94 and Beyer rang in third with her time of 5:13.79.
In the 100-free,
Kate Hill's 53.03 race placed second and Forjan's close 53.21 clocked in third.
UP NEXT
The Bonnies will dial in one last time at the University of Virginia's Cavalier Invite next weekend before they compete for an Atlantic 10 Championship later in February.
