The first half was a battle between the Bonnies and Spiders, featuring six lead changes.

The Spiders retook the lead early in the third, but five points from Boyd in the early going of the period kept the Bonnies within three, 40-37.

Richmond, however, ended the third on an 8-0 run to take a 48-39 edge over the Bonnies with just 10 minutes left to play.

The hosts held the Bonnies scoreless for the first 2:30 of the fourth, pulling away by double digits, 58-39.

The Spiders kept the momentum and maintained their double digit lead, capturing a 75-52 win.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH JIM CROWLEY
"Obviously a tough second half but really proud of the effort in the first half and did a lot of good things. Richmond is a very good team and an even better team at home. We battled really well for awhile but just gave up a lot of second chance opportunities. They got themselves to the free throw line and created too much separation for us."

UP NEXT
The Bonnies remain in Virginia to take on VCU Saturday, Feb. 14. Tipoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.
